When I was nine years old I took a photography class and experienced holding my first camera and working in the dark room and I was hooked! Being able to capture a nature image in a specific time and light,  or a persons special experience and look in a moment, I was hooked! And I knew I had found a true passion.

Hiking with my patient husband is always fun and he laughs at me as every few steps I'll stop and say,"Look at how the light is hitting this tree/rock/leaf" and then take a photo of it. Standard hikes that would take people less than an hour becomes a full day hike with me. But I am always thankful to have my camera with me to capture earths gifts and natural wonders as it is displayed to me.

I feel blessed when I stand and watch a sunset taking in and experiencing every second as the light changes, the water reflects, and the clouds dance in the last moments of the day. I sometimes forget my freezing hands as they too become part of the experience and is just part of the sacrifice of staying to get that final shot.

I hope my photos bring you back into that moment in time and the joy and wonder of the beauty nature has to offer. Perhaps my photo may bring back a memory of a place you visited, or may make you dream of a place you want to go to one day. Whatever the experience, I hope my photography inspires you to take a moment to pause and look around at the wonderful treasures life has to offer.
